Update:
Nathan's fever has come down and he's back to his old self again. His voice is still a little horse but he says it doesn't hurt to swallow. He is enjoying playing and watching on the iPad and eating ice cream.
So far, my other two have not shown any symptoms!
This morning was the first day after Mike's quarantine. We thought we made it through Covid quarantine, then we realized Nathan, our middle son had fever. Ugh. We had him tested and he tested positive for Covid and Strep Throat. Our pediatrician recommended, since, they are kids, quarantine won't work and eventually they will all get it.. He basically recommended, don't quarantine, get all the kids exposed to Covid, so that we can just get this quarantine over with all at the same time. If the kids get Covid after each kid's quarantine ends, potentially we could be quarantine for 30 days. (I personally think, he has fever for Strep instead of Covid and all the kids already had/have Covid. Hopefully, after a few days of antibiotics, he'll feel much better and his fever will go down.)
While this is going on, he recommended that I basically leave the house until all the kids are well. I am now in a hotel by myself and enjoying the peace and quiet again. 😋 I am much more mobile now and have much more energy, I have no problem reheat foods that my mom made or other foods. I can even drive and do short errands! I am feeling better every day.
We had been living in a hotel from Feb till end of December because our house flooded during the "snowmageddon" last year, Therefore, I have TONS of hotel points. It's amazing how God provides!
I'm not sure how long I'll need to stay out of the house but if it looks like it'll be extended, I might be going to College Station and stay with my sister again between Chemo Treatments. We shall see.
Definitely this was an unexcepted curve in the road this morning. After taking a breather this evening, I am thankful I am still not showing any symptoms (amazingly), grateful for all the help from family and friends to take care of my kids and for the hotel points we have so I can stay for free!
Thank you again for all your thoughts and prayers! We really could not be able to handle all this without all of you!
