Today was a Good Day

After the first chemo, my legs started swell up and I ended up in the ER on College Station to make sure it wasn't a blood clot.  Since then, my legs had been pretty swollen - been raising my legs and wearing compression socks but it still kept swelling.

This morning, the swelling went down significantly!  I looked at my feet and my feet looked normal!  Not sure if it was the delicious potato soup Jay brought over last night, or the lavender bath bombs I've been enjoying that Tiki brought over, or the wonderful teas I've enjoyed from many friends or the prayers from family and friends near and far or just God's Grace for me.  Whatever it was, I'm very grateful that my legs feel so much better today!

(Sorry for all the poop talk.  I've never thought much about poop until it became life or death ....)
The last several days, my bowel movements have improved significantly too.  Before, they were very thin and small, since I have an obstruction.  The last several days, it has gotten a lot more normal and coming out more.  2 days ago, when this change when this started happening, it was very exhausting to have a bowel movement.  I would come out the bathroom sweating.  It wasn't though I was pushing hard or anything but maybe my body had lost some of the muscle in my intestine and my body was using a lot of energy to get back into swing of things. Today, it wasn't bad at all.  No sweating and not as uncomfortable.  Very grateful!!!

We are very grateful for all the outpouring of love and support of our family.  From the emails to meals to prayers for our family.  We are truly grateful!
