Chemo #5

Update: Snow did come!  Two days of snow days.  Pic of them playing with a neighbor!  2 boys and the Eskimo is my kids.  They are having tons of fun and we haven't lost electricity!  Wohoo!

For this round of chemo, I started on a stronger chemo since my liver function is doing much better.  We are hoping this stronger chemo will decrease the tumor size on my liver.  Well, with stronger chemo came with stronger side effects.

Sunday:

Started on the chemo #5.   Due to the new chemo, they gave me anti-diarrhea medication which caused me to be sleepy and a little dizzy.  So, after the treatment was over, I came home and basically slept the rest of the day.

Monday:

Monday morning, dizziness was gone but then was replaced with nausea.  I had to take both nausea medication that they prescribed me before that went away.  Thankfully, that worked and I was able to drink and eat.  I couldn't even look at my phone, since that gave me nausea too - almost like getting car sick when reading in the car.

Tuesday:

Nausea subsided (Yay!) and was replaced with just being sleepy/tired.   I basically slept most of the day yesterday and this morning feel a lot better!

I was quite worried how long my nausea will last with this new chemo and was very happy it really only lasted a day!  It definitely took a bigger toll on my body.  I'm glad though, my liver is healthy enough to take this chemo and that it will shrink my tumors!

It's supposed to snow in Dallas tomorrow.  My kids are so looking forward to it!  It was this time last year, our pipes busted and I still have contractor's in my house this morning, finishing up the final touches!
