We also bought a carrier backpacks to carry her in and it worked quite well. We went on a 4 hr hike and she did alright. Just one time when she woke up from her nap, was she a little cranky but other than that she napped it and it seemed to have enjoyed the ride.
This picture was taken after a 2.5hrs hike up the mountain. Our hotel was right by the lake seen in the picture. We didn't have too much time at the top since, we saw some bad weather coming. We were very glad to be off the mountain before the sleet/rain hit. We saw some hikers on the trail from our hotel that got caught in the sleet/rain. It did not look fun. Some of the scenary seemed pretty crazy. You would think we went vacationing in winter or in antartica or something. But this was June in Canada - we left Dallas after having 3 days of 100 F degree weather.
Mike and I also did a hike by ourselves while my mom and grandmother watched Hannah for us. That was an adventerous hike. It was supposed to be a 6 hr hike but around the 6 hr mark we realized we were lost. We had climbed to a place where the snow was waist deep and we couldn't see the trail. So, we decided to head down the mountain without the trail. If we had found the trail, it should have taken us about 2 hrs, however, without it, it took us about 6.5 hrs. By the time we were down, both Mike and I were bruised and scratched by trees and rocks. But I'm really glad we made it down!! Thank goodness the sunset isn't until 10:30pm in Canada b/c we made it down at 9:30pm. No pictures since, we were using all energy we had to make it out alive ...
